Scotland’s national poet laureate wrote that “the best laid plans of mice and men, often go astray.”

There is always so much work going on in the background to deliver the solutions/products to our members, as well as improve our marketing and sales acquisitions. Most of it is not seen. Most of it is hard. Most of it is interlaced with issues, conflicts, etc. It’s a lot of hard work and necessary work that doesn’t get a lot of accolades, and needs to be done during non-business times so it doesn’t impact members.

Last night (April 5, 2022), Spencer and Vicky worked into the wee hours to transition to a new paywall platform that will improve visibility and the acquisition funnel. I’m bullish in believing this will help us nurture more buyers and convert more trials across our SAAS products. What’s more, we will also be able to deliver richer reporting to our enterprise clients.

Like so many development projects, once the switch is flipped, like cockroaches in a once dark room, issues and conflicts start to scatter about – things that never happened in the development environment suddenly come up on the live. It happens every time and is an unavoidable consequence of tech work. It sucks, and everybody does so much hard work to minimize it, but it happens.

Last night was no exception, and as is ALWAYS the case – PRODUCT, under Vicky P, worked into the evening, resolving each conflict in sequence and making sure everything was working as it should.

KUDOS and thank you.

And, like ALWAYS, they were ready at the break of dawn to get back at it, in the office, to put out fires and move other projects forward.

I can’t think of a better illustration of our core values of LEADING BY EXAMPLE and WE BEFORE ME.

KUDOS to Spencer & Vicky!!!
